This may be the most inspiring blog I've ever come across.
Leah writes thank you notes to random objects. Its such a positive way to see the world. I could use a little more of that. Take a read through, your spirits will inevitably be lifted.
These are a few of my favorites...

I just sit here and look cute...
(Sorry, the title on this one is an inside joke.)
But everyone can enjoy this. Yes, it's an eewok cake. And I want one.

NYC in a B-A-G
I love the MoMA store for coming up with cool stuff like this: New York City in a bag. To say that I need one is an understatement. What I actually mean is, I NEEEEEEEEEEEED one.
It's like a little color surprise...
I've been seeing this trend lately and I luuuuuuuv it: Cupboards, curio cabinets and wardrobes that are an unassuming plain color on the outside, painted a bright popping shade on the inside:
Google Typography
Rhett Dashwood created this typographical font using Google Maps images from around Victoria, Australia... thus combining three of my favorite things: google, maps and typography.

Designer Bags
This whole launching a business plus planning a wedding thing has me looking for new and improved ways to wake up in the morning. This print hit home.
Wedding Look
I think the remainder of my wedding look is coming together. I was ecstatic when I found this series of pictures which are now serving as the inspiration for my makeup and jewelry.
A brief shout out to Style Me Pretty and their AH-mazing Inspiration to Reality photo shoots.

Secret Playroom
I WILL have a secret playroom entrance disguised in a wardrobe in my house someday. Like this one featured on Apartment Therapy.

Palace of Fine Arts
This is an image of the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
I suggest clicking on the image to view it at full size.
We recently used this image in a design piece for one of our clients, but I think it is so gorgeous that sometimes I open the file, just to look at it.
San Francisco is edging its way up the list of places I'd like to live.

Not a happy face
This is basically how I've been feeling/acting for about a week:
Which is to say, I have been a nasty, grumpy, unhappy mess.
I just wanted to publicly express my gratitude to IKF for not:
a) killing me
b) calling off the wedding
c) locking me in my bedroom
d) all of the above
I'm better now. I promise.

Good enough for government work
Do you know how long it takes to get a marriage license?
After today I have a whole new appreciation for the fact that our state is mal-funded and understaffed.
I will say this for the valiant workers of the San Bernardino County Recorders Office, the woman that we did work with 45 minutes later was very sweet and helpful.
But the really good news is that the State of California has given me and IKF and license to get married.
Which we plan to do on June 5th.
Woot.

Wedding Gallery
I thought this idea looked cute:
At our wedding we will be displaying pictures of our parents, grandparents and great-grandparents on their wedding days as a way of celebrating the legacy of loving and steadfast relationships that we are inheriting from them. It has become one of my favorite parts of the wedding planning.
This weekend, my paternal grandparents were in town. After Sunday dinner, my Grandmother Marion passed around pictures from her wedding to my Grandaddy Karl. Then my dad told stories about Great-granddaddy Karl and Great-grandpa Louis and how they used to take him ocean fishing and catch huge barrel-fulls of tuna.
I love hearing stories about my family. It's such a wonderful thing to feel a part of that heritage.
When I get some of the legacy wedding pictures scanned, I'll post some of them here. They are just too gorgeous not to share.
