I am loving everything about this picture right now.

First, the colors! The navy sweater and the slate grey skirt, blended together by the plaid wrap coming out of her bag. Add to that the taupe-grey nails. Then the whole look gets an upgrade with the fur vest and the bright silver stack of bracelets. Then of course there's the fact that I've been trying to get my hair to look like that for 25 years.

Have you seen the J.Crew Spring 2011 look book? Le sigh. Never have I been so in love with old Hollywood glamour or felt a fiercer need to wear stripes.

... That's what this dress is called. Pinch of sugar. Too cute, right? (Did I mention its on sale for $34???)

It's not often you find dresses that are this adorable with sleeves. I'm all about it.

(Also, that pinkish color - honeysuckle, as they are calling it - is supposed to be THE color of 2011. So get used to it, and remember, you heard it here first.)

Outfit Idea: Sailor Dress

What is not to love about this dress? The stripes! The navy! The flutters!

I would throw it on with this pink cardigan:

A camel belt:

Some neutral high-heeled slingbacks to dress it up:

And some pearly starfish earrings for flare:

Voila! Perfect for spring!.... Or January, if you live here in Southern California, where it has been in the mid to high 70's with sunny clear blue skies for about a week.

We don't do winter. 

Cowgirl Flounces

Maybe it's because I just watched 3:10 to Yuma, maybe its because I'm excited to go see True Grit, and maybe its because there is a cowboy movie on the horizon which features Daniel Craig... But I crumpled into a little pile of joy when I saw this dress.

It is such a fun, modern interpretation of a cowgirl look that I just looooove it. I would put my hair in ringlets and bust out my boots for a dress like that.

Best Outfit Ever

I am immediately announcing a personal quest to track down every piece of this outfit and then wear it weekly for the next year. I love everything about it from the black and white base with the camel belt to the sailor stripes and the long skirt. I would even wear the hat with the tiny red feather.

You know I would.

All I need is a new pair of glasses and a 12 inch waist and I'm good to go.

Love these dresses

I would wear both of these outfits.

I love them so much I would wear only these outfits and just alternate back and forth. Gosh I'm such a sucker for black and white.
