I'm gonna guess 30/70 on the first and 80/20 on the second
Dear Boyfriend,
What are the odds that I could get you to wear this outfit?
What about this one?
I think you could rock the striped socks. As well as the pocket square.
Sincerely and Hopefully,
SAH
ps. You know that one blue shirt you have? Yeah, you look awesome in that.

Las Ventanas
Look through these pictures, and then tell me you don't want to be filthy stinking rich.
Can't do it? That's what I thought.
Las Ventanas is a resort in Baja California, near Los Cabos, Mexico. It is heaven. It is beautiful. And I hear the food is fantastic too. (My business partner went there on his honeymoon.) And it is now one of my life goals to go there.
Oh Paraiso, I will find you.

Must travel
I have the travel bug, BAD. Every night when I get in my car to go home from work I think about driving in the opposite direction. I don't want to get away from working, I just want to do my work in a different place everyday. Is that bad? I like new things, new places. I just enjoy movement.
However, life without IKF is no bueno, so he'd have to come along. But he's in school, and constant travel is bad for the grades. And my business partner who can be found at his desk at all hours of the day AND night might (and does) take issue with my constant movement.
*sigh*
So I turn my car towards home and think... someday.

Sparklers
Someone once asked me how I like to celebrate. At the time I didn't have a good answer. But I have one now.
Sparklers.
Sparklers.

Caruthers Terrbackle sniffs aphids
So, I don't know if you've heard... But its been pouring rain in Southern California for a week. Which is awesome. But now its the weekend and I'm trying to think of things to do. Naturally, I turned to my good friend Google. On the third site listed, someone provided this little tid bit that had me laughing. I mean, aphids? Awesome.... (ps. Melissa, this one's for you.)
Mick F. says...
Mick F. says...
I make the Scientologists give me stress tests in the pouring rain.
And answer as "truthful" as possible.
"Your name?"
"Caruthers Terrbackle"
"Ummm...ok...what do you do for a living?"
"I sniff aphids, and im a part time consultant."
"For?"
"How to capture the sweet scent of aphids in a bottle..."
"I dont und..."
"You dont need to...listen, its the wave of the future...see, ill buy the fact that there is a dead alien spook in your body, if you accepopt the fact that the next hottest scent is....."
"Aphids..."
"Yes, well it doesnt have to stop there, Willie."
"My name is Stephani...."
"Yeah cool...anyway, ever get raging for you know....self administrations when you smell freshly baked tuna casserole?" THAT my sweet little distinctive mint milano cookie, is how we will corner the market on weddings, sewing circles and staff meetings. You in?"
"I umm......"
At that point its usually over.
The rain i mean. Because weather is never shitty for someone so in touch with themselves.

Domestifluff
Donna Reed is one of my hero's but Kristen Magee is someone that I'd like to be friends with. I discovered her blog Domestifluff via Elegance Redefined via Dweebist.
Can we just pause for a second to talk about how much I like the name "Domestifluff?" It's catchy, it's cute, it's charming, it's slightly geeky yet comically self-deprecating at the same time. AND it perfectly describes the focus and content of the site. As a branding professional I work all day long to help my clients come up with brands that are this good. Interacting with businesses and websites that get it right is like a breath of fresh air, warm bread and cinnamon scented fresh air.
My professional opinion aside, I love this website on a personal level for its classy and sophisticated approach to the potentially frumpy topic of crafts and cooking.
Case in point, pom pom printables:
I will totally be making that little white pom pom on a stick and printing up the tags and the paper for use on... everything.
And that's only one little post! I also plan on trying out the zucchini bread pudding and some of the other treats. *sigh* So much Domestifluff, so little time...
