Bye Em!

Today my youngest sister left to serve a mission for the LDS Church in Lima, Peru for 18 months.

I cried a 4 cup pyrex full of tears (yes, I measured) and then immediately began writing her a letter that mostly consisted of my trying to draw a llama.

Llamas are from Peru, and you know how I feel about llamas.

I miss her already, but I admire her so much for her bravery, her commitment to her faith and her belief in serving others.

My sister Emily will be serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Peru Lima South Mission.

Congrats Em! We are so excited for you.

Besides the fact that Emily is going there, do you know what else is awesome about Peru? Llamas and more llamas.

Spain will never be the same again

My sister is in Spain! She is riding wooden burros, eating things that still have eyes and stealth photographing cathedrals. You can read about her adventures, or just laugh along with her pictures.

We just found out that my sister will be spending her next semester in Madrid, Spain on a study abroad program! I'm so excited for her I've already started planning everything she should do... Which may sound like I'm meddling and being bossy, but really its just a sign of affection... really.

Congrats Em! VIVA!

Five things I'm happy about today:

1) Being engaged to IKF is the coolest thing ever.

2) Emily was in town this weekend! And it's always fun when the beastie is in town. And she got to be there when we announced our engagement.

3) Last night I had dinner with my entire family (+ IKF) and I love them dearly.

4) It is beautiful, sunny and warm outside. Thank you California.

5) I love my job. And the Whitefrog website got almost 5,000 hits this month.

Good things are happening. Lots of good things.
