They're baaaack
Question... In your third trimester, did some of your first trimester symptoms come back? Specifically nausea and the desire to sleep all the time?

Salted Caramel Brownies
Yes, I will try this as soon as I have a workable kitchen again...
Recipe: The Best Salted Caramel Brownies
You'll need:
1 cup (2 sticks) butter
4 1-oz. squares of dark chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup caramel topping (this is my favorite)
1 tsp. good quality sea salt
What to do:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a 3-quart saucepan over very low heat, melt butter and chocolate, stirring the mixture constantly. Remove from heat, and stir the sugar into the chocolate. Allow the mixture to cool slightly.
Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour and 1/2 tsp. salt in a separate bowl, then stir into the chocolate mixture.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Drizzle the caramel atop the batter, and use a knife to swirl over the surface. Sprinkle sea salt over the caramel.
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center come out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack.

On life
So, I'm nearly 8 mo pregnant, I'm still working full time at a job with a one hour commute, both ways, my husband is in the last three weeks of his Bachelor's program and has a paper due every other day, we have three weeks to pack and clean our entire apartment and move to California. Meanwhile, we still have super busy church responsibilities, Christmas shopping to squeeze in, frequent Doctor's appts, other pregnancy maintenance requirements, and dear friends to say goodbye to before we leave.
In other words: 1) Help! 2) What was I thinking? 3) Though I may post occasionally, I won't be back to my normal frequency until January or so.
Xoxo,
Sara
ps. I know, white girl problems.

30 weeks down, 8 ish to go?
On the third trimester...
Ow. This hurts.
Everything takes twice as long as it should, my emotional reactions are completely disproportionate to the situations, and I can't really remember what it feels like to not be pregnant.

Keith
Maybe its because I recently saw Celebration Day, but lately I've been feeling all melty and affectionate towards these aged rockers... in a "favorite uncle" sort of way.

Ahead of the calendar (as opposed to the curve)
Traditionally I'm a strict "Christmas doesn't start until Thanksgiving is over" kind of a girl, but for some reason, I'm jumping the gun this year. I've been dancing to my R&B Holiday Pandora station since the day after Halloween and 85% of the Christmas shopping is done. Maybe its my nesting instincts kicking in?

It's the little things...
Yesterday, I got the oil changed on my car. Today, I glanced up at the little sticker they put on the windshield and the date for my "next service" was three days after my due date. I thought, "By the time I change the oil on the car again, I will have a child."
They should put this on a bumper sticker and give it to all women as they begin their third trimester:
Motherhood, just an oil change away.
