‘Jailers’ keys were apparently filled with gun powder to create a primitive gun that could be detonated if there was any trouble when opening a cell door. We found several original versions that back up this claim, dating from the 17th century and of various complexity.’

Jennette and Janell recently introduced me to HeyTell and its my new favorite toy. It lets you instant voice message, so you can do it safely while driving. Plus it sort of turns your phone into a walkie talkie and that's just so 80's it makes me want to put on hammer pants.

Mascarpone Apricots

Stuff them with sweetened mascarpone and plop a blackberry on top, drizzle with honey or agave and stick them under your broiler. Garnish with pistachio's.
