OH my goodness. I forgot how difficult it can be to come back to real life after a superb vacation. I feel like my head is in a fog that smells like sunscreen.

Women like...
Well, at least THIS woman does.
Good thing I picked a good dressin' man.... Most of the time... When he doesn't wear hockey jerseys in public... And stays away from grey t-shirts... And pretty much just wears what I want him to... Just kidding honey, you look great all the time. Love you.

The Cooperative Paradigm
This article is an in-depth and interesting examination of the role of women in the LDS church. I'm putting it up here on my blog because I want to have access to it in the future, and because I think it is a worthwhile read for men and women who engage in Church service.
As a woman in the church I have always felt that my worth and value were professed emphatically. The doctrine has never portrayed women in an inferior capacity. I also believe that there is room for improvement in the way that this translates into leadership and administration. The cooperative paradigm described in the article is an approach that respects church structure and revealed truths while opening the right doors for moderate change.

Pride & Prejudice
I love all the Pride and Prejudice movies, but I think I like this one the best. Director Joe Wright did such a beautiful job, the movie is visually breathtaking. And Keira Knightly and Matthew McFadyen play Lizzy and Darcy is such a human way that I find endearing.
If you're into that sort of thing, I highly recommend watching the film with the director's commentary. Joe Wright talks about different ideas that went into the scenes and raptures on and on about how great the actors are. I noticed details afterwards that I wouldn't have caught before.

Le Tour
My family got big into cycling a few years ago, and now every summer we watch the Tour de France. It's fun to cheer for your favorites and groan over the big crashes and watch the massive crowds that gather along the race route.

Two Wholes
An intimate relationship does not banish loneliness. Only when we are comfortable with who we are can we truly function independently in a healthy way, can we truly function within a relationship. Two halves do not make a whole when it comes to a healthy relationship: it takes two wholes.
